بازنمایی و ترسیم ابعاد هویت «دیگری» سفرنامه‌نویس مورد پژوهی: سفرنامة پیترو دلا وله

چکیده
بی گمان سفرنامه ها در راستای تبیین هویت ملت‌ها بر پایه نظرات «دیگری» به عنوان ابزاری مؤثر مطرح هستند. درحقیقت سفرنامه‌نویس در مسیر شناخت «دیگری» و به نوعی شناخت «خود» گام برمی‌دارد و فزون بر توصیف «دیگری» تصویرشده، «خود» تصویرگر را نیز معرفی می‌کند. در این راستا شباهت‌ها و به ویژه تفاوت‌های فرهنگی که گاه مطابق الگوهای فکری پیشین سفرنامه‌نویس و در مواری بر پایه تعصبات گوناگون شکل گرفته‌اند دربرگیرنده اطلاعات گسترده‌ای درخصوص هویت فرد تصویرگر می‌باشند. مکتب فرانسوی تصویرشناسی، به ویژه پژوهش‌های پاژو، ابزاری مناسب با هدف بررسی مفهوم هویت در سفرنامه‌ها ارائه می‌کند. در این جستار سفرنامه پیترو دلا وله را با هدف تحلیل دیدگاه وی به عنوان «دیگری» ایتالیایی-اروپایی و ترسیم ابعاد هویتی سفرنامه‌نویس بررسی می‌کنیم. دلا وله با توصیف شرایط گوناگون سیاسی، اجتماعی، فرهنگی و در مواردی قیاس این شرایط با آنچه نزد ملت خود، اروپاییان یا ترکان عثمانی رایج بود، اطلاعات ارزشمندی از ایران و ایرانیان دوره صفویان ارائه می‌کند؛ لیکن با نکته سنجی می‌توان از این مکتوبات در راستای شناخت «خود» سفرنامه‌نویس بهره جست.

چکیده English

A comparative study of relations among nations and its evaluation based on the Other’s attitudes generates a deep insight; thence, travelogue is considered a profitable means in this regard. Within the path of knowing the ‘other’, the travel writer paces to know him/herself. Put another way, the writing would culminate in his/her own understanding along with the ‘other’. In this vein, the similarities and cultural differences which are formed in accordance with the travel writer’s prior thought lines or prejudices, encompass a vast information regarding the travel writer’s identity. Besides, the French school of Imagology especially Daniel-Henri Pageaux’s researches, is a valuable resource for analyzing such travelogues. For this purpose, Pietro Della valle’s Travels to Persia has been taken into account to examine his constructed identity as an Italian/Eueopean ‘other’. Out of his very minute descriptions he generates regarding political, social, and cultural conditions of Iran in comparison with his own country or The Ottoman Empire, his own identity is constructed.
