انسان‌گرایی لیبرال و صهیونیسم: نگاهی به نمایشنامه های راه اندوه و دیوار اثر دیوید هِر

چکیده

سیطره صهیونیستی بر فرهنگ و اندیشه غرب پس از جنگ جهانی دوم بیش از پیش در ادبیات معاصر نمایان می‌شود. هم‌زمانی و پیوند تشکیل اسرائیل به سال 1948 با مساله هولوکاست و همچنین نفوذ و تسلط صهیونیست ها بر صنعت فرهنگ در غرب به تبع آن منجر به تولید حجم عظیمی از آثار هنری و ادبی توسط هنرمندان و نویسندگان یهودی و غیریهودی، بویژه در آمریکا و انگلیس، می‌شود که البته تصادفی نیست. پژوهش حاضر با تکیه بر آرای ناقدان و نظریه پردازانی چون ادوارد سعید (Edward Said) و ایلان پاپه (Ilan Papé ) در صدد است تا نمایشنامه های راه اندوه (1998) (Via Dolorosa) و دیوار (2009) (Wall) نوشته‌ دیوید هِر را بررسی کند. نگارندگان برآنند تا پس از بررسی سبک خاص نمایشنامه‌نویسی هِر، به تحلیل موشکافانه این دو نمایش با تکیه بر موضع لیبرال اومانیستی وی بپردازند. آن چه در این گفتار موکد می‌شود موضع یک بام و دو هوای هِر است به عنوان فردی با داعیه عدالت‌خواهی و آزادی‌خواهی در مواجهه با مسائل انگلیس و همچنین خاورمیانه، که ریشه در تناقضات بنیادین گفتمان انسان‌گرایی لیبرال دارد. نگارندگان نشان می‌دهند چگونه آثاری به ظاهر مستند و بی‌طرف، به واقع روایت‌هایی شبه‌تبلیغاتیند برای سفیدشویی اشغالگری و جنایت‌های بیشمار صهیونیست‌ها.

چکیده [English]

The discourse of Zionism has had a significant impact on Western culture since World War II, particularly evident in contemporary literature, especially in America and Britain. This influence is further amplified by the Zionist dominance of the cultural industry and the historical context of the Holocaust and the establishment of Israel in 1948. These factors have led to a massive production of artistic and literary works by both Jewish and non-Jewish artists and writers, exploring these themes and their implications. Of special interest in this regard is the way the so-called liberal writers have tackled what has come to be referred to as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the Western media. The present article aims to look into the representation of the aforesaid issue in Via Dolorosa (1998) and Wall (2009) by David Hare, a liberal writer with (previously) leftist tendencies. Drawing on the views of a number of theorists and historians such as Edward Said and Ilan Pappé, the writers highlight how Hare’s account contradicts his liberal claims of avoidance of prejudice, pursuit of justice and advocacy of human rights. They argue that Hare’s seemingly documentary narratives, supplementing each other, turn into propaganda-like pieces whitewashing a long history of occupation and atrocities by the Israeli regime.
