The synchronic flourishing of the fantastic and psychoanalysis and
their common concepts, increases the richness of analysis. Maupassant, the French writer
renowne for his fantastic stories and interest in psychoanalysis, opens the
way, especially with a short story called Le Horla, for a comprehensive psychoanalytic analysis. He uses Freud’s concept of the unconscious and
Saussure’s linguistics to explain the new framework of the concept of the
unconscious. This paper is an attempt to apply the theories of Lacan in the
narrator of The Blind Owl written by a contemporary writer Sadeq Hedayat
as a subject of psychosis. Psychosis is a mental illness which is characterized
by the patients’ disability to encounter the realities of their surrounding
lives. The isolation and separation from society, is the beginning of illusions
in which case, the patient thinks himself worthy of the ideal world. So, we
express at the beginning the application of this theory in the realm of
“imaginary,” the realm of the “symbolic” and other terms, then we review The Blind Owl’s narrator
according to the implications of Lacan’s theories.
2588-413118220131122The Study of Albert Camus’s Approach to the Meaning of Lifeمطالعه و تأملی بر رویکرد آلبر کامو به معنای زندگی63775204110.22059/jor.2013.52041FAقاسمرضاییدانشجوی دکتری فلسفه، دانشکدة ادبیات و علوم انسانی، دانشگاه اصفهان، اصفهان، ایرانمحمدجوادصافیاندانشیار فلسفه، دانشکدة ادبیات و علوم انسانی، دانشگاه اصفهان، اصفهان، ایرانJournal Article20131221Human beings need a compelling reason to
live. In other words, "for what" purpose are we here and why should
we live? If there is no "for", human beings will be incapable of
doing their everyday activities and will not know how to spend their lives.
However, all discussions are about this question: where can we access this
"for"? Is this "for" placed in the nature of human beings
and should we achieve this by search and exploration? Or is it that this
"for" has no objectivity and is a subjective matter and every person
has a unique definition of it for his life? In other words, is the meaning of
life an exploratory issue or is it independent of human beings? Or it is an
issue dependent on the subject who should create it creatively? In case that
each one of these ideas is considered, what is the method and possibilities of
such exploration or creation? An even more important question which is
presented in line with the previous questions is whether basically meaning is a
supernatural issue or does it belong to a field other than life in this world?
In this arena, Albert Camus is one of the 20th century scholars who presents
the issue of the meaning of life from a particular perspective and by removing
metaphysical ideas and limiting life to
this world, accepts the meaningfulness of life.
2588-413118220131122A Comparative Study of the Concept of Tolerance in Lessing and Rumi with Particular Focus on Nathan the Wise and The Grape Storyبررسی تطبیقی نظرگاههای مولوی و لسینگ در باب تسامح با تأکید بر ناتان خردمند و «داستان انگور»79955204210.22059/jor.2013.52042FAرعنارئیسیدانشگاه اصفهانJournal Article20140203This article studies the concept of tolerance in the works of
Lessing and Rumi. Pushkin portrayed different social
classes including farmers, peasants, and rulers. Moreover, he was master of
forming character types.
