The effort of the early author to get rid of the anxiety of being influenced could be defined as a creative misreading. According to Bloom, due to the fact that reading the works of the former author has opened a certain horizon for readers, changing this horizon could be an example of a creative misreading. Changing this horizon could be performed in a variety of methods. This paper is intended to study the changes which Abbas Maroufi, the author of the <em>Symphony of the Dead</em>, have made in the genre of his work to get rid of the anxiety of being influenced by the <em>Sound and the Fury</em> by William Faulkner. He has, therefore, created a kind of creative misreading out of his former celebrated author.  از جمله نظریاتی که در باب تأثیرپذیری آثار ادبی ارائه شده است، نظریۀ بدخوانی خلاق هارولد بلوم است که در این نظریه به نوعی دیالکتیک ستیزه‌جویانه و ادیپی مابین مؤلف پیشاهنگ و مؤلف پیرو اشاره شده است و از تلاش‌های مؤلف دیرآمده برای رهایی از اضطراب تأثیرپذیری تحت عنوان بدخوانی خلاق نام برده شده است. از آنجا که خوانش اثر پیشاهنگ، افق انتظاری مشخص را برای خواننده ترسیم کرده است، تغییر این افق توسط نویسندۀ پیرو می‌تواند یکی از نمودهای بدخوانی خلاق باشد. تغییر افق به روش‌های گوناگونی امکان‌پذیر است که یکی از آنها اعمال تغییراتی در ژانر اثر است.<br />هدف از نگارش این پژوهش، بررسی تغییراتی است که عباس معروفی نویسندۀ رمان سمفونی مردگان به منظور رهایی از اضطراب تأثیرپذیری از خشم و هیاهوی ویلیام فاکنر در ژانر اثر خود اعمال کرده است و به این وسیله خوانشی خلاقانه از اثر نویسندۀ نامدار پیش از خود ارائه داده‌ است. https://jor.ut.ac.ir/article_77630_bf008d05bb63eb6405227fa92e55cbb9.pdf
