Carrière has tried to maintain the principal form of Attar’s work and by considering the constraints of theater, he has made some changes in the source text. One of the main changes is the transformation of Simorgh’s notion. In fact, by relying on the criterias of his worldview, which tends to be like a quasi-mysticism terrestrial, he has supposed another meaning for Simorgh, being in contrast with Attar’s celestial mysticism. In this analysis, we try to verify the notion of Simorgh, by profiting from the analytical theories of Genette in intertextuality. In addition, we attempt to answer the questions about how the mystical character of Simorgh was presented, from an intertextual viewpoint, and by which changes? And how a non- Persian contemporary text, like The conference of the birds, has succeded to transfer the message of Attar in a different form? نمایشنامه‌ی مجمع مرغان ژان کلود-کَریِر، از جمله متون اقتباس‌شده از منطق‌‌الطّیر عطّار است. کَریِر در این اثر، سعی بر آن داشته که شکل اصلی داستان عطّار را حفظ کرده و با توجّه به ضرورت‌ها و محدودیت‌های متن نمایشی در آن تغییراتی انجام دهد. از جمله تغییرات شاخصی که او در این متن انجام داده، دگرگونی مفهوم «سیمرغ» است. در واقع، کَریِر هم‌جهت با مؤلفه‌های جهان-نگری خویش و نوعی شبه‌عرفان ناسوتی، معنای دیگری را برای سیمرغ در نظر گرفته و برخلاف عطّار مفهومی زمینی به سیمرغ بخشیده است. در نوشتار حاضر سعی بر آن داریم تا با استفاده از رویکردهای تحلیلی بینامتنیت ژُنتی به بررسی مفهوم سیمرغ در اثر کَریِر بپردازیم و در جستجوی پاسخ به این پرسش‌ باشیم که شخصیّت اسطوره‌ای سیمرغ با چه تغییراتی در دلالت‌های نخستین و شناخته‌شده‌‌‌اش به تصویر کشیده‌‌شده است و چگونه یک متن معاصر غیرفارسی‌زبان، هم‌چون نمایشنامه‌ی مجمع مرغان، موفّق به انعکاس پیام عطّار در قالبی دیگر شده است؟ https://jor.ut.ac.ir/article_69891_b4aab300e50b4a2ed7697f711796ce05.pdf
