English dramatists, who were under the substantial influence<br />of Foucauldian subversive view on power and ideology, through dramatizing the<br />historical events, attempted to stand against the ideology and idealism of the<br />ruling power. They began to subvert the literary figures of the past in an<br />attempt to create a new mentality. Among them, Caryl Churchill in her Softcops<br />(1984) dramatised Foucault’s <em>Discipline and Punish</em> (1975) along with the<br />French Revolution in order to depict the hegemony and domination of bourgeois<br />power from the nineteenth century to the present. This paper is an attempt to<br />illustrate Churchill’s anti-Thatcherite policy in the mentioned play and her<br />coping with the how and why the ruling power substituted its explicit and<br />violent strategies with soft and disciplinary strategies of surveillance for<br />making obedient subjects to confront and suppress any potential civil<br />objection.</span> <span dir="RTL" lang="FA" style="font-family: 'Traditional Arabic','serif'; font-size: 10pt; mso-ascii-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-hansi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: FA; mso-no-proof: yes;">ماهیت تئاتر سیاسی دههﻫﺎی هفتاد و هشتاد بریتانیا را ﻣﻰتوان با<br />پایداری آن در برابر گفتماﻥهای ایدئولوژیک قدرت حاکم- به ﻭیژه حزب نومحافظهﻛﺎر<br />مارگارت تاچر-</span><span dir="RTL" lang="FA" style="font-family: 'Traditional Arabic','serif'; font-size: 10pt; mso-ascii-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-hansi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: FA; mso-no-proof: yes;">بررسی کرد. نمایشنامهﻧﻮیسان انگلیسی که از<br />اندیشة میشل فوکو تأثیر بسیار گرفتهﺍند، با استناد ﺑﻪ رویدادهای تاریخ، تلاش کردﻩاند<br />در برابر پنداشتﻫﺎی آرمانی قدرت حاکم سکوت نکنند. از جملة آنها، کاریل چرچیل است که<br />در نمایشنامة <em>پاسباﻥهای مهربان</em> (١۹۸۴) با تأثیرپذیری از کتاب <em>مراقبت و<br />تنبیه</em> (١۹۷۵) میشل فوکو و ترسیم فرانسة پس از انقلاب ١۷۸۹، سرآغاز قدرت<br />بورژوازی و تداوم سیطرة آن را تا امروز نشان ﻣﻰدهد. بنابراین، این گفتار، در پرتو<br />تاریخﺑﺎوری نوین، تلاشی برای ترسیم رویکرد ضدقدرت و ضدتاچریسم چرچیل در <em>پاسباﻥهای<br />مهربان</em> است؛ و گفتار بررسی نیز ﻣﻰکند که چگونه در نمایشنامة بالا قدرت حاکم<br />اروپای غربی، شیوهﻫﺎی تنبیهیﺍش را از هراسﺍفکنی مستقیم، مجازات و شکنجة جسم، ﺑﻪ<br />هراسﺍفکنی نامستقیم، نظارت بر افراد، در جامعه تغییر میﺩهد و از هرگونه اعتراض مدنی<br />جلوگیری ﻣﻰکند.</span> https://jor.ut.ac.ir/article_52046_a3dc2b488e68f68db9cf2e1427f0a7bc.pdf
