The focus of this study will be mostly on his Nobel Prize winning work EI laberinto de la soledad, essay entitled: Vida y pensamiento de Mexico (Life and thought of Mexico). Octavio Paz finds the true identity of the Mexican people hidden in the mask, the double and the other by studying their behavior in the national and religious ceremonies such as the fiesta, the obscene scream and cult to the dead. It is in these ceremonies, where according to Paz, the Mexican reveals his true identity. هدف این مقاله درباره معنا ونمادی است که مفاهیم نقاب‘ همزاد و دیگری دربرخی از آثار شاعر و نویسنده نامدار مکزیکی ‘ اکتاویوپاز Octavio paz ‘ در بر دارند. در حالی که بیش از هر چیز تکیة مقاله بر روی شاهکار‘ وی هزار توی تنهایی است که عنوان فرعی زندگی و نگرش مکزیکی را دارد. در ادامه‘ از یک سو در مورد این که چگونه اکتاویوپاز به افشای هویت مکزیکی که مدام در پس نقاب‘ همزاد و دیگری خود را پنهان می کند بررسی و از سوی دیگر ‘ تحلیلی از رفتارهای مکزیکی در جشن های ملی و مذهبی به عمل آمده است. همچون جشنی که در آن نعره برآورده و مرگ را مورد پرستش قرار می دهند که هر کدام از این جشن ها مراسمی ویژه هستند که هویت اصلی مکزیکی را بر ملا می کنند. ِThe-Double دیگری مرگ نقاب همزاد هویت https://jor.ut.ac.ir/article_12442_481852f25f90b5a12439825e0d682358.pdf
