Using a multi-layered lexical, structural, and discursive analysis, the research investigates how the Iranian “Self” is depicted in relation to the culture of the “Other” within the context of migration, and how socio-political conditions shape this representation. The findings indicate that the protagonist’s stance oscillates between infatuation and fear toward the host culture. A key contribution of this study is the observation that resolution is not achieved by stabilizing one of these poles but through a transition from initial fear to a stage of “attachment,” wherein a measured acceptance of the “Other” occurs without fully dissolving the “Self.” This dynamic interplay highlights how language, as well as political and social contexts, facilitates the transformation of the “Other” and offers a more nuanced understanding of migrant identity in contemporary Iranian fiction. این پژوهش با اتخاذ رویکرد نظری دانیل-هانری پاژو (۱۹۳۹) در حوزه‌ی ایماگولوژی (تصویرشناسی) و با تمرکز بر چارچوب سه‌گانه‌ی او (شیدایی/هراس/علقه) به تحلیل بازنمایی «دیگری بینافرهنگی» در داستان «مادام گرگه» اثر گلی ترقی از مجموعه داستان خاطره‌های پراکنده اثر گلی ترقی (۱۳۱۸)، رمان‌نویس معاصر فارسی، پرداخته است. روش‌شناسی پژوهش، تحلیل چندسطحیِ واژگانی-ساختاری-گفتمانی است و هدف این جستار، واکاوی تصویر «خودی» ایرانی در مواجهه با فرهنگ «دیگری» در بستر مهاجرت و بررسی میزان تأثیرپذیری این تصویر از شرایط سیاسی-اجتماعی است. این مطالعه نشان می‌دهد که نگرش پرسوناژ در نوسانی میان دو قطب شیدایی و هراس نسبت به فرهنگ میزبان قرار دارد. یافته‌ی نوآورانه‌ی این تحقیق تأکید بر آن است که فرایند گره‌گشایی نه در تثبیت یکی از این دو قطب، بلکه در گذار از هراس اولیه به مرحله‌ی «علقه» محقق می‌شود؛ مواجهه‌ای که در آن پذیرش نسبی «دیگری» بدون انحلال کامل «خودی» امکان‌پذیر می‌گردد. این ترکیب نشان می‌دهد که پویایی قدرت زبان و شرایط سیاسی و اجتماعی چگونه بستر دگردیسی «دیگری» را فراهم آورده و درکی پیچیده‌تر از هویت مهاجر در ادبیات داستانی معاصر ایران ارائه می‌دهد. https://jor.ut.ac.ir/article_109133_b67fd75968865082b4bac0a66c0f826e.pdf
